When should I replace my clutch?
Common symptoms are:

A manual vehicle transmission uses the clutch to connect the engine and transmission together each time you push down on the clutch to move from idle position or change gears. Each time you change gears and let out on the clutch pedal, your clutch disc, pressure plate, flywheel and release bearing get a little bit of wear. Your clutch and its companion components are designed to last above 60,000 miles of normal driving and clutch use.
The clutch may last a lot longer or a lot less than 60,000 miles. It depends on a lot of different conditions – like whether the vehicle is used as a tow vehicle all the time or if the transmission is used to downshift a lot to slow down.
